On Wednesday August 5th, Alpha Pi Lambda, the Inter Fraternity Council and The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life teamed up to host the 2009 Summer Blood Drive. The event was held at the Apple Pi fraternity house on 33rd and Powelton.

From 10AM to 6PM, over 70 people came out to support the drive. Between students, alumni, faculty and staff, 58 pints of blood were collected for the American Red Cross.

For a first time effort, this exceeded the expectations of both the American Red Cross and the Drexel community. The fraternity looks forward to hosting more blood drives in the future to support this great cause.
